P.E.A.C.E.  Namibia

P.E.A.C.E. stands for People’s Education, Assistance, and Counseling for Empowerment.  The PEACE Trust was created to help Namibians overcome the negative impact of organized violence, including war.  The Trust set up a PEACE Centre in Windhoek to address the consequences of violence in a practical and sustainable way.  Particularly their services are aimed at children and relatives affected by violence who may be suffering from trauma.  PEACE provides individual and group counseling for the children at Family of Hope Services.  At least 75% of our kids require help from PEACE.   PEACE also trains our Care Team Volunteers in how to provide support for children who need to overcome abusive experiences and for those who need to build self esteem.
